Terms of service
Last updated 17 August 2026
The short version
- OneHappening organizes the event email you forward or CC to an event address. You keep ownership of everything you send it.
- The free plan covers 2 events and 100 AI-processed emails. We do not charge anything today.
- The summaries, deadlines and tasks are generated by AI. They can be wrong, so treat them as an assistant, not as the system of record.
- This is an early product. It has no uptime guarantee, and email delivery is never something we can promise.
- You can delete an event or your whole account at any time, and everything stored for it goes with it.
1. Who these terms are with
OneHappening is operated by [Legal entity name, business ID and registered address] (“we”, “us”). These terms are the agreement between us and you, the person or organization using the service (“you”). By creating an account or using OneHappening you accept them. If you are accepting on behalf of an employer or client, you confirm you are authorized to do so.
If you do not agree with these terms, do not use the service. You must be at least 16 years old to use OneHappening.
2. What the service does
Each event you create gets a unique email address. Email you forward or CC to that address is received, stored against the event, and analyzed to extract a summary, a category, and where present a deadline, an action, a monetary amount, and the people and company involved. Attachments are stored so you can download them again.
OneHappening does not connect to your mailbox, does not read mail you have not sent to an event address, and does not send email on your behalf.
3. Your account
You sign in with Google or with a code sent to your email address. You are responsible for keeping access to that mailbox and Google account secure, and for everything done through your account. Accounts are personal — there are no shared or team accounts today, so do not share your sign-in with other people.
Tell us at support@in.onehappening.com if you believe someone else has gained access to your account.
4. Plans, limits and pricing
The free plan includes 2 events and 100 AI-processed emails. If you reach the email limit, incoming mail is still received and stored against your event, but it is not analyzed until the limit is lifted. If you reach the event limit you cannot create another event until you remove one.
We do not charge for OneHappening today, and there is no payment method on file. The “Upgrade” screen only records that you are interested in a paid plan. If we introduce paid plans, we will tell you before anything becomes chargeable, and you will never be billed without agreeing to it first.
We may change the free limits. If we reduce them, we will give you notice first.
5. Your content
Everything you forward into OneHappening — messages, attachments, and the event details you enter — stays yours. We claim no ownership of it.
To run the service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, transmit and display that content, and to send the parts described in the privacy policy to the providers listed there. That licence exists only so we can provide the service to you, and it ends when you delete the content. We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not sell it.
You are responsible for the content you forward. By sending it you confirm you are entitled to share it with a service like this one — including email written by other people — and that doing so does not breach a confidentiality obligation you are under.
6. AI-generated output
Please read this section even if you skip the rest.
Summaries, categories, deadlines, action items, amounts and contacts are produced by an AI model reading your email. They can be wrong, incomplete, or missing entirely. A deadline may be misread, an action may not be created, and something important may be categorized as routine.
Treat OneHappening as an assistant, not as the authoritative record. We always keep the original message so you can check it, and every action links back to the email it came from. Do not rely on OneHappening alone for contractual deadlines, payment obligations or anything else with real consequences.
7. Email delivery and limits
Email is not a guaranteed medium and we cannot promise that every message you forward will arrive or be processed. In particular:
- — Mail sent to an address that does not match an event is discarded.
- — A message we have already received is not stored twice.
- — Attachments larger than 25 MB, or of file types we do not support, are skipped; the message itself is still stored.
- — Analysis happens shortly after a message arrives, not instantly.
OneHappening is not a backup service or an archive of record. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- — use the service for anything unlawful, or to store or distribute unlawful content;
- — forward content you have no right to share, or that infringes someone's rights;
- — send bulk or unsolicited mail through an event address, or use it as a mailing list;
- — attempt to access another user's data, bypass rate limits or authentication, or probe or disrupt the service;
- — resell or white-label the service without our written agreement;
- — use the service to process payment card numbers, health data, or other special categories of personal data — it is not designed or certified for them.
9. Availability and changes
OneHappening is an early-stage product provided as it is today. There is no uptime commitment or service level agreement. We may change, add or remove features, and we may have to take the service down for maintenance.
If we ever decide to discontinue the service, we will give you reasonable notice and time to export or delete your data.
10. Ending the agreement
You can stop at any time: delete an event to remove it and everything in it, or delete your account from the Account page to remove everything. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or where we are required to by law. Where it is reasonable to do so we will warn you first and give you a chance to put things right.
11. Disclaimer
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the AI output will be accurate or fit for a particular purpose.
12. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business, or loss or corruption of data arising from your use of the service — including anything that follows from an AI-generated summary, deadline or action being wrong or missing.
Because the service is currently provided free of charge, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us, which is zero. If you later move to a paid plan, our total liability will be limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any mandatory consumer rights you have.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product develops. We will change the date at the top, and for material changes we will notify you by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by [Governing law and competent courts, e.g. Finland / courts of Helsinki]. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory law in the country where you live.
